Dutch Indigenous relations in 17th century central Connecticut, along with Indigenous canine relations and burials and wampum production.

About

Liz Glaviano, B.F.A., B.A. Anthropology, is a M.A. student in Anthropology at the University of Connecticut. Liz was the recipient of two American Association for State and Local History (AASLH) awards for her work at Connecticut’s Nowashe Indigenous Peoples Museum: the Award of Excellence and the History in Progress Excellence in Research Award. She also received the 2022 Award of Merit from the Connecticut League of History Organizations (CLHO). Liz served as editor in chief for two lifestyle books: Hartford – New England’s Rising Star (2004) and The Greater Hartford Tourism Guide (2006). In 2001, under Liz’s direction as editor of the Hartford Business Journal, the paper received an Editorial Excellence Award. Liz’s artwork has been juried and on display at both Yale University and the New Britain Museum of American Art. Liz also is an antique jewelry connoisseur and an avid arts collector.
