A folklore fieldwork trip to remote villages in the Arkhangelsk Oblast of Russia in 2010

What do you find most interesting about your fieldwork/research location?

This is an amazing place where people from different cultures come together in challenging times.

What is your most memorable experience in the field so far, or most memorable lesson learned?

We do not choose the times we live in. But we can choose how to reflect on them.

Besides anthropology, I enjoy art, literature, nature, plushies, Pomeranians, and learning about U.S. history.
