Interested in participating in an archaeological field school this summer? Check out Táatamay-Indigenous Archaeology Field School (TFS), running from June 23rd-July 31st, 2025. This course will take place in Fallbrook, California, in San Diego County, and is in partnership with Pechanga Band of Indians, The Wildlands Conservancy and SDSU Field Programs. Application review date is April 25th!

General Information:

Join a transformative archaeological experience rooted in Indigenous values and collaborative research. Learn archaeological and biological field survey techniques, Indigenous cartography, and heritage stewardship, while working directly with Tribal monitors and cultural resource professionals.

Open to students from all universities

•Earn 1 to 6 academic credits through UConn Summer Session

Credit is transferable

•Emphasis on Tribal sovereignty-based heritage management

Housing and food accommodations are available for Native American/Indigenous students

Cost Estimates

UConn Students: $1,374 – $4,254 (plus TBD food & travel)

-Non-UConn Students: $1,419 – $4,964 (plus $45 application fee, TBD food & travel)
