On February 27th, Alexia Smith was presented with the UConn Alpha Lambda Delta Faculty of the Year Award at the ALD induction ceremony. This award recognizes an exceptional member of UConn's faculty, and the recipient is nominated by an ALD member. Alexia was chosen in recognition of her incredible, steadfast guidance, and for constantly advocating for and helping undergraduate student Claire Cathers make the most of her degree. Congratulations Alexia and well deserved!
Alexia was also recently awarded the UConn AAUP (American Association of University Professors) Teaching Career Excellence Award, which recognizes outstanding work in teaching, drawing support from both other faculty members, and students alike! Amazing work Alexia!
