Where are you/will you be conducting your research/fieldwork?
My dissertation research is taking me from CT to Costa Rica. Previously, my work and research have taken me all over the US, to Belize, Ethiopia, and Kenya.
What do you find most interesting about your field work/research location?
I am currently working on the Osa Peninsula. This remote corner of Costa Rica harbors 2.5% of the biodiversity of the entire planet in less than a thousandth of a percent of its total surface area. Seeing how people have cared for the land and waters of this unique area throughout time is what I find most interesting about my work.
What is your most memorable experience in the field so far, or most memorable lesson learned?
My most memorable lesson for the field: Always bring hot sauce.

You can likely find me at a brewery on the weekends enjoying live music or camping somewhere in the middle of the woods.
