Q&A

Where are you/will you be conducting your research/fieldwork?

I currently work in Mediterranean Europe, and I also study animal bones from Southern Iraq.

What do you find most interesting about your field work/research location?

The thing I find most interesting about archaeology is trying to understand how humans adapted their subsistence behaviors as they moved across the landscape, and what ecological constraints may have driven them. Intraspecific site taphonomy and bone preservation are also neat.

What is your most memorable experience in the field so far, or most memorable lesson learned?

Always make sure to drink lots of water during fieldwork!

What do you do in your downtime? Share something interesting about yourself!

I like trying new baking recipes! My favorite things to bake are snickerdoodles.
