UConn Anthropology Exhibits at the 2023 AAA Meeting!

UConn Prof. César Abadía-Barrero, Prof. Camilo Ruiz, and Prof. Sarah Willen all have exhibits up at the American Anthropological Association’s conference in Toronto this year! Prof. César Abadía-Barrero and Prof. Camilo Ruiz’s exhibit is Casa Común, an art exhibit made up of works from over 50 people impacted by armed conflict in Colombia displaying both the horrors of war and the hope for a better future.
Picturing the Pandemic: Images from the Pandemic Journaling Project, is curated by Prof. Sarah Willen (Anthropology, UConn), Prof. Katherine A. Mason (Anthropology, Brown University) and Heather Wurtz (Anthropology and Human Rights at UConn and the Population Studies and Training Center at Brown). The project is a collection of images chronicling the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring that anyone may be part of history. The project is made up of nearly 27,000 journal entries and 3,000 photos from 1,800 people in 55 countries.
