Welcome to the UCONN Department of Anthropology Archaeobotany Laboratory website. Here, we work with both macro- and micro remains, including seeds, charcoal, phytoliths, and starch. Our graduate students and faculty work in diverse regions across the world, and in time periods between the Middle Paleolithic 150,000 years ago, to the later parts of the Bronze Age about 3,000 years ago.
